To lofty trees and those who dwell in them
Been making plans to build a tree house with the kids this fall. We don’t have a great place to do so in town, so we’re planning on constructing our elevated abode on my parents property in rural Virginia. We checked out every book at the library on the subject, and believe we have come to a decision on the type and exact location for the project. Man, I have got to reorganize this web site such that the blog is not the home page. Probably what I should be doing now instead of writing about our autumn plans… At any rate, I’m not sure who is more excited, me, the kids, Wendy or my folks. Keep you posted.

Yesterday I stumbled upon a very cool application of JQuery allowing a background image to scale according to the user’s browser size. This was a very timely find, as we had just discovered a bizarre issue with the method we were using – Flash – and older, non-Intel based Macs. Read more

The principals involved showed an jaw-dropping level of ignorance — for lack of a better word — with regards to the difference between monitor resolutions and browser widths. Writing is hard
Ok, so this writing thing is hard. May have to poke around or tap a few of my contacts who actually know how to form words. I’ve also been working on customizing the design of the site, playing around with a few ootb themes, looking at a few from Theme Forest, etc. Probably not something I should be advertising on a site intended to drum up business.
